Costal View - The Golden Thread- Week 28

Hello! I have been MIA but something has to give when you are wrapping up for a holiday break and visitors coming and going. Summer can get a little crazy sometimes. I did manage to complete the Golden Thread challenge.

This is week 28 of a year-long drawing challenge I have been participating in called the "Golden Thread," organized by @JehaneLtd.

This is the third theme "A room with a view" and this week's prompt "Coastal Landscape"

I took the boat from last week's illustration. Also took some inspiration from a family friend's home in the Orkney islands. Last summer we visited my parents around this time of year. The view from my friend's home is stunning, especially at sunrise. This illustration feels like a bit of an experiment — it falls between painting and illustration, so I'm not sure about this one. My brain is fried this week.

I hope your having a good summer so far.

You can follow me on instagram to see more of my process and work. @Sussecollection
