Collioure - The Golden Thread- Week 31

A year-long drawing challenge I have been participating in called the "Golden Thread," organised by

This is the third theme "A room with a view" and this week's prompt "Collioure."
As you can see, I jumped straight back into the Golden Thread challenge. To be honest, this drawing is nothing like the brief. The prompt did mention a French fishing village and flowers.
My brain was all over the place this week, so I just sat down and drew memories of my summer holiday. I included my friend's cat "Zeddie," who is actually the inspiration behind my own Susse Cat illustrations.
I went to Paris and then took the fast train to Brittany where I hopped on a ferry and visited my friend who spends her summers on the island of Ouessant in Brittany. I loved Brittany—it reminded me so much of Scotland and the Orkney islands.
It was so nice to stay on the island, and some old friends joined us. It was so wonderful I didn't want to leave.
I will write a few posts on Substack soon about my holiday adventures, the things I saw, and my travel tips. I even managed to draw in my sketchbook while I was away.
I am back in Sweden and in the studio now. I feel completely reset and ready to create again.
