Day 2 of Jehane’s Twelve days of Christmas - Winter Nights

A photograph of an illustration of a wolf and winter scene

Here is my next illustration for Jehane's 12 Days of Christmas Challenge Day 2 "Winter Nights"

One thing I love about my time in Sweden is when there is a thick fresh blanket of snow in my garden and the full moon is shining and the night sky is clear with stars. All the branches of the trees are frozen and covered in ice.

When the temperature drops to -20°C the air is full of tiny sparkles.

Don't you love walking on fresh snow and that crunchy sound underfoot?

I wanted to create the feeling in this illustration. A lone Swedish wolf wanders in the snowy night.

It is fun to see all the animal tracks in our garden. I can see the fawn and hare footprints and all the cats wandering around. I don't have any wolves — that's further north of Sweden.

Wow! Thank you for all the lovely comments on my previous post "Snow Queen"

Thank you to Jehane and all her lovely artists who are hosting this year's challenge.
